FAQ
Have questions about our cat sitting services? Find answers to common queries below.
What areas do you cover?
I cover Bickley, Petts Wood, Chislehurst and surrounding areas. If you're nearby but not sure if you're in my patch, feel free to get in touch and ask.
Do you only look after cats?
Cats are my main focus, but I’m also happy to care for other small animals. In the past, I’ve looked after rats, rabbits, chickens, snakes, lizards and fish, just let me know what you need.
What’s included in a visit?
Each visit includes feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning, and time spent with your cat, whether that’s playing, cuddling, or just hanging out nearby. I can also give medication if needed, and I’m happy to water plants or bring in post while you’re away.
How long are the visits?
Visits usually last 20 to 30 minutes. If your cat is out exploring (as many outdoor cats are), I may not stay for the full time, but I’ll always make sure everything is clean and topped up.
Can I choose the time of day for visits?
You can request either a morning visit (between 7am–12pm) or an evening visit (between 5pm–10pm). I’ll plan your visit within those windows based on my schedule for the day.
How do I book?
You can book online for our first meet & greet, daily cat sitting, twice-daily cat sitting, and extended (hour-long) cat sitting visits. I’ll follow up via text or WhatsApp to confirm your dates and arrange the details.
Alternatively, you can message me directly on 07496 725075 and I’ll get you booked in.
How far in advance do I need to book?
I always try to accommodate last-minute bookings, and it’s rare that I don’t have availability, but booking in advance helps me plan and guarantees your slot.
What’s your cancellation policy?
You can cancel up to 24 hours before your booking with no charge. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be refunded at 50%.
How do I pay?
If you book online, you’ll be prompted to pay securely at checkout. If you’d prefer, you can also leave cash for me to collect during my visit.
How do you access the property?
We’ll hand over keys during the free meet & greet. I also offer a keyholding service for regular clients, so you don’t have to keep handing them over each time.
Keys are kept securely and are labelled with your pet’s name only, never your address.
What if my plans change while I’m away?
No problem, just send me a message and we’ll adjust the booking as needed.
What happens if there’s an emergency?
If there’s a problem with your cat or your home, I’ll contact you straight away. You can also leave an emergency contact who lives nearby.
We’ll go over your vet’s details during the meet & greet, and if your cat needs care while you’re away, I’ll take them to the vet and keep you updated.
Do you send updates?
Yes, I send a photo update after every visit, so you know your pet is safe and happy.
Are you insured and DBS checked?
Yes, I’m fully insured, and DBS checked, I’m happy to send over documents on request.
Is it always you doing the visits?
Yes. I don’t use a team, it’s always me, so you know exactly who is caring for your pets. You can find out more about me here.
Do you offer a meet & greet?
Yes, I offer a free meet & greet before your first booking. This gives us a chance to meet, go through your pet’s routine, and hand over keys.
Can you care for nervous or elderly cats?
Absolutely. I have lots of experience with cats of all personalities and needs, including anxious or older cats who need a bit more TLC.
What if my cat hides from you?
Some cats take time to warm up to new people, especially if they’re nervous or shy. During the meet & greet, we’ll chat about their usual hiding spots so I know where to look.
If I don’t see them during a visit, I’ll make sure they’re eating, drinking, and using the litter tray, and I’ll update you honestly so you know what’s going on.
Can you give medication?
Yes, I’ve administered medication before and I’m comfortable doing so. Just let me know what your cat needs.
